Dairi-O restaurants are a classic icon in Western North Carolina with a history dating back to 1947.  The use of Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) on recently built locations has not only allowed the achievement of a cleaner, more modern feel, but also enabled the efficient updating of older locations.  Its King, NC location presented the challenge of updating without losing its classical appeal.  With no formal architectural plans, Construction Metal Products, Inc. of Statesville, NC was deeply involved in the design solution as well as the fabrication and installation of the metal composite material wall panels.  Bands of Alfrex FR MCM in Vibrant Red and Anodic Clear Mica were installed horizontally to provide a “running board” look, while the entryway was fabricated to resemble a large milkshake – a known landmark in the city, now with a modern flare.
